Out front of my apartment is a pine tree that I have named Dan. Dan is my favorite tree near my place, I really appreciate the inspiration I draw from it's beauty. One winter night I took a photo of it's branches, the one that inspired this painting. The clouds looked especially full of life, and the tree branches contrasted so beautifully with the sky. I hope this painting can bring as much joy and serenity to the home it finds as that night brought to me.
